EAST CENTRAL VETERINARIANS COVID-19 UPDATES

Updated 07/07/2021

Starting Tuesday June 22, 2021 we are excited to welcome you back into the hospital with your pets for all appointments with a veterinarian as we have available room space.  We are continuing to prioritize the in-clinic option for emergency care, urgent care, and euthanasia appointments.  Curbside, Day Admission and Video Chat (telemedicine) appointments will remain available for anyone who wishes not to come in the building.  At this time, all staff appointments will continue as curbside appointments.

We are following the CDC recommendations regarding masks.  If you are fully vaccinated you do not need to wear a mask but we do appreciate if you do.  If you are not fully vaccinated you do need to wear a mask when in East Central Veterinarians, we deeply appreciate you doing this.  We are using the honor system and trust that you will do the right thing.

If you are exhibiting respiratory symptoms, fever, COVID-19 symptoms, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 please do not bring your animal to the veterinarian for at least 2 weeks.  If your animal has an urgent need that requires veterinary attention during this time frame, please have a healthy person bring your pet to the veterinarian and inform us of the situation.  If there is no one that can bring your pet to the veterinarian for you, please call and consult with your veterinarian to develop a plan for treating your pet.

Although we will be allowing clients back inside the hospital for veterinary appointments, our front door will remain locked so we are able regulate the occupancy of our lobby. We ask that you continue to use our numbered parking spaces and call us when you arrive to check-in.

Please stay tuned for an additional update with more details about what to expect during your pet’s appointment once we re-open our doors.

In-clinic appointment procedure

* After scheduling an appointment we will e-mail you a history form, please respond to the e-mail with your responses.  This helps us better prepare for your appointment.

* When you arrive, call us at 320-364-2260 (Mora) or 763-301-8265 (Cambridge) to check-in.  If the phone is busy we are checking in another client, please wait a minute and try again.

* A team member will come out to your vehicle to welcome you and then will bring you to an exam room.  All cats must be in a carrier and dogs must be on a secure leash or a small carrier.

* The veterinarian will complete the physical exam, discuss treatment options, and answer your questions.  After completing the care you requested the team will collect payment in the room.

* Would you appreciate having your pet’s food or medication delivered to your home? You can easily sign up for this by clicking on pharmacy button at the top of page or clicking this link.  As with our in-clinic pharmacy, we work hard to keep our on-line pharmacy prices competitive and we appreciate your business.

Telemedicine

* East Central Veterinarians is excited to launch Telemedicine (Video Chat) appointments.  Telemedicine appointments allow owners to consult with a veterinarian from the comfort of their own home or while traveling with their pet.  Common Telemedicine appointment types include progress exam, hospice care, and behavior consultation.  Telemedicine appointments are available to pet’s who have been seen in the past 12-months at East Central Veterinarians.  To determine if a Telemedicine appointment is the best option for your pet, please call the clinic to discuss the options.

Thank you for enduring all of this craziness with us. Your continued loyalty, understanding, and patience have truly made a difference for all of us at East Central Veterinarians!

Sincerely, the doctors and staff at East Central Veterinarians
