Job Description: Veterinarian

A veterinarian is responsible for devoting his/her best professional efforts to offering and providing quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to the patients of our clinic. He or she must have exceptional client service and communication skills, excellent analytical skills, computer literacy, ability to multi-task, friendly attitude and confidence to deal with stressful situations. They communicate with clients in person and by phone. All veterinarians must have a Minnesota Veterinary License.

 


 

Job Description: Certified Veterinary Technician

A certified veterinary technician directly handles inpatient and outpatient care, working hand-in-hand with veterinarians. The CVT is instrumental to all anesthetized patients from pre-op to surgery to post-op to home.  CVTs assistant with dental x-ray, cleaning, and charting.   The CVT also assists in exam rooms by taking patients’ history, vital signs and weight; preparing vaccines; collecting samples and running diagnostic tests; providing client education; and assisting with animal restraint. CVTs also may see their own appointments for procedures such as suture removal, nail trim, vaccine administration when a doctor exam is not required, long-term medication monitoring testing, and surgery admission and discharge. CVT directly impact patient outcome, client service and patient care. CVTs play a key role in communicating with clients in person and by phone including follow-up care and patient monitoring. All Certified Veterinary Technicians must be currently certified in Minnesota through the MVMA.

 


 

Job Description: Technician

Technicians directly impact patient outcome, client service and patient care. Technicians care for our hospitalized patients to ensure they receive the treatments they need and have a comfortable and safe post-op period.  Technicians play a key role in communicating with clients in person and by phone including follow-up care and patient monitoring.

 


 

Job Description: Veterinary Assistant

A veterinary assistant supports technicians and veterinarians in exams, treatment, and surgery. The veterinary assistant assists with animal restraint, housekeeping, client communication, treatments and surgeries. Veterinary assistants support both certified veterinary technicians and veterinarians in daily patient care. They communicate with clients in person and by phone for follow-up care and patient monitoring.

 


 

Job Description: Client Services Representative

A Client Service Representative focuses on client service and communication. He or she is the first and last contact with the hospital and key to creating first and lasting impressions. The Client Service Representative must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, handle payment and financial issues, ability to multi-task, friendly attitude and confidence to deal with stressful situations. Client Service Representatives support veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers and kennel staff in daily patient and Client Service. They communicate with clients in person and by phone and e-mail.

 


Job Description: Kennel Cleaner

A Kennel Cleaner supports patients and entire team by helping to ensure the facility is clean, odorless, and visually appealing. This helps to reduce the risk of disease transmission for our patients. This part-time position is often desirable for high school high school students due to the schedule.
